Silver Sinks to Lowest Price Since August on Iran Deal

This morning, silver futures for March delivery fell $0.12, to $19.79 an ounce, MarketWatch reported. Meanwhile, spot silver fell to $19.54 an ounce, its lowest level since mid-August, Reuters said.

The lower prices were the result of Iran striking a deal with the United States and other world leaders regarding its nuclear program.

Also weighing on prices is concern over the future of the US Federal Reserve’s stimulus program. The Fed could begin tapering its monthly bond-buying program as soon as next month.
