Silver Rises Above $22 per Ounce

This morning, spot silver hit $22.44 an ounce, an increase of $0.23, Reuters reported.

Like gold, the price of the white metal has been impacted by the weakening dollar, which has given hope that the Federal Reserve will continue its stimulus program.

Silver for July delivery rose to $22.475, according to Bloomberg, an increase of $0.02. Silver prices have been declining for four months straight, the longest downward streak since June 2012.
