Positive economic news has rekindled speculation that the US Federal Reserve will raise interest rates by the end of the year. Fed Chair Janet Yellen has indicated that a rate hike is likely, and any increase in the key funds rate will likely diminish the appeal of safe-haven commodities like silver.
