USA Today reported that Comstock Mining has tapped into a highly concentrated deposit that could yield $10 million in revenue.

As quoted in the market report:

At the moment, Comstock Mining is pulling ore from an open pit here that is about a mile and a half downhill from historic Virginia City, Nev. It then is hauled to a processing plant about 2 miles away at American Flat, Nev. After heap-leach treatment in which chemicals such as cyanide are added to crushed rock to extract the minerals, the metal is being poured into bars of blended gold and silver at a rate of nearly 300 ounces a week.
