Silver InvestingMineweb reported that Coeur d’Alene Mines’ (NYSE:CDE) has made a proposal to issue unsecured notes and write down Martha’s Mine, leading to a B+ rating from S&P.

As quoted in the market news:
Coeur said it anticipates that an impairment charge for the assets of the Martha Mine in the Santa Cruz Province of Argentina be recognized in the second quarter of this year.
