Zimbabwe’s Zimplats has been implicated in the recent Panama Papers leak, Business Day Live reported.
As quoted in the publication:
ZIMBABWE’s leading platinum mining giant‚ Zimplats Holdings‚ allegedly set up an offshore company more than a decade ago to pay salaries for its senior managers‚ leaked documents reveal.
The alleged offshore company was set up without the knowledge of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe and so breached the country’s exchange control laws.
