Stillwater Mining Company (NYSE:SWC) announced it has committed to CORESafety as part of its new initiative towards safety.
As quoted in the press release:
In development for the past two years, the initiative was unanimously endorsed earlier this month by the National Mining Association’s executive board. Under CORESafety, Stillwater will work with its mining industry peers toward a collective target of eliminating fatal accidents and sharply reducing the frequency and severity of on-the-job injuries within the mining industry over the next five years.
