CNBC reported precious metals were mixed on Tuesday with spot platinum dropping on news output is expected to decline one percent in 2012.
As quoted in the market news:
Spot platinum eased 0.3 percent to $1,618.49 an ounce.
Platinum has narrowed its historically unusual discount to gold to around $100 an ounce on Tuesday, down from a record of around $230 an ounce hit in January.
