South Africa’s One Day Strike Doesn’t Affect Platinum Industry

Reuters reported platinum producers said they were not affected by South Africa’s one day mining strike on Wednesday.

As quoted in the market news:

Tens of thousands joined a one-day national strike on Wednesday as the country’s biggest labour group, the Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU), protested about new road tolls and short term contract labour agencies that COSATU says exploit workers and perpetuate inequalities.
