The market news is quoted as saying,
Anglo American Platinum Ltd. (AMS SJ), the world’s biggest producer of the metal, slid for a third day, dropping 16.11 rand, or 2.8 percent, to 555 rand. The price of platinum slumped below $1,500 an ounce for the first time since since August 2010.
Impala Platinum Holdings Ltd. (IMP), the world’s second- biggest platinum miner, slipped 5.59 rand, or 3.4 percent, to 161.03 rand.
