Platinum climbed for a fourth day on Thursday, its largest weekly gain since October with a rise of 7 percent. Platinum’s outperformance of gold pulled the gold/platinum ratio — the number of platinum ounces needed to buy an ounce of gold — down to 1.10 from a high of 1.15 earlier this week.
