Platinum Miners Continue To Lose

Minweb reported South African platinum miners are trading at a loss or on thin margins which will continue to bring down the price of platinum.

As quoted in the market news:

Of the 26 mines, eleven were found to be operating at a loss with a further four marginal at best.

The exercise was a difficult one as platinum miners do not report in accordance with a set of standardised metrics so comparisons are difficult.
