JV Operations More Productive, Says Major Platinum Producer

Mining Weekly reported Anglo American Platinum (JSE:AMS) says productivity at its joint venture operations tends to be higher.

As quoted in the market news:

Three of Amplats’ six JV mines in South Africa are mechanised, while the other three use hybrid mining methods, which are a combination of mechanised and conventional methods, explains Amplats executive head of JVs Vishnu Pillay.
