Ivanhoe Mines Appoints Mahler as an Independent Director

Ivanhoe Mines (TSX:IVN) announced that it has appointed Livia Mahler as a non-executive, independent member of the company’s Board of Directors, effective immediately, increasing the number of directors to ten.

As quoted in the press release,

Ms. Mahler is President and Chief Executive Officer of Computational Geosciences Inc., of Vancouver, Canada, which provides technological solutions to maximize the value of geophysical exploration surveys. She also co-founded Greenstone Venture Partners — a Vancouver-based venture-capital fund targeting private, early-stage, information technology companies — and presently serves on the Board of Directors of DuSolo Fertilizers Inc.
