Stillwater Mining (NYSE: SWC) announced that they have elected Ralph Green as Vice President, Exploration of the Company have appointed Brent Wadman as Corporate Secretary.
The press release is quoted as saying:
Mr. Green (64) has served as Director of Exploration for Stillwater since 2004 and has over 40 years of diversified technical and executive experience in domestic and international mineral exploration, mineral lands management and development. His career includes a successful record of discovery and acquisition, evaluation, development and disposition of precious metal, industrial mineral and base metals deposits.
Frank McAllister, CEO and Chairman of the Company, says:
“With the market outlook for palladium being driven by good demand, constrained supply and a waning Russian palladium inventory, we stepped up our efforts to expand our palladium production potential. Internally this includes our expanded Recycling Business and announced projects at our Montana mining operations. Externally, under the leadership of Mr. Green, we have made the recent Canadian acquisitions of Marathon PGM Corp and Benton Resources Bermuda Property which expand the Company’s PGM production potential and provide sought after product and geographical diversification. With his appointment as Vice President, Exploration Mr. Green will continue these efforts.”
