Gold Higher, Precious Metals Lower

SMH reported gold rose on Friday, even as other precious metals dropped on fears of an economic slowdown.

The market news is quoted as saying,

Palladium futures for December delivery dropped $US9.05, or 1.5 per cent, to $US614.55 an ounce. This month, the metal slid 22 per cent, the most in three years.
