We’ve put together a visual round-up of some of the key events that took place on day two.
Day two of this year’s Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) conference just wrapped up, and it was a busy one for the Investing News Network (INN). During the day there was no shortage of events and information to take in.
If you didn’t make it out to PDAC, don’t worry. The INN editorial team hit the floor hard to speak to companies and industry experts, and of course had the opportunity to view some presentations.
Below we’ve put together some of the highlights of the day. Scroll on to read more about what happened on day two, and make sure to click here to check out what happened on Sunday. You can also learn more about PDAC by clicking here.
To start off, check out this shot of the busy Investors Exchange floor.

One of the first presentations that the INN team attended was by Lukas Lundin, chairman of Lundin Mining (TSX:LUN). He shared an overview of the development of the Alumbrera and Tenke Fungurme mines in a session titled “What Drives Success in Our Industry?”

Another high note was a presentation from Richard Lambert, executive vice president, chief operating officer and president of RPA, a global mining consultancy. He gave some insight about why mines fail.
Why do mines fail? poor mgmt, short term decisions, andtrying building something bigger than it should be, says Richard Lambert #PDAC2017

And of course after the show there was plenty to do.

You can judge the trend of the #mining market by the number of invites to parties at #PDAC2017 … looks like it’s going to be a good year!

The INN editorial team was also busy speaking to industry experts. Stay tuned for interviews with Thom Calandra of The Calandra Report, Paul Robinson of CRU Group and Joe Lowry of Global Lithium.
