Kidela Capital Group(Editorial) reports on the explanations & importance to NI 43-101 and JORC mining reports.
The article is quoted as saying:
NI 43-101 and JORC Code technical reports are considered similar in scope and are accepted by many other jurisdictions which lack similar reporting standards or internationally recognized industry professional bodies.
There are some differences, however between JORC and the Canadian equivalent. The JORC code does allow some information that can be considered commercially sensitive to be omitted from publicly disclosed documents. NI 43-101 is more prescriptive in the way mineral exploration reporting is to be presented; it also requires more technical disclosure to the market than the JORC Code. The Canadian equivalent often requires all information to be disclosed and presented in a specific way.
