As more and more nuclear reactors come online or are slated for construction, Mongolia is quickly becoming a strategically important region in the battle over control of the uranium market and the nuclear industry as Russia, Asia and the West seek to establish dominance. With about 65,000 tonnes of proven uranium resources in the ground and the possibility of much more, Mongolia has the potential to become one of the world’s largest uranium producing nations.
