China’s Zijin Mining sued over pollution spill

AFP reports that , because of a spill at  a tin mine, Xinyi city authories sued two of  Zijin Mining’s subisidiaries, causing the stock to fall.

The Xinyi city government in southern Guangdong province has demanded Xinyi Zijin Mining and Xinyi Baoyuan Mining pay 19.5 million yuan for property damage after heavy rain triggered the collapse of a tailings dam last month.
