Queensland Flooding Closes Coal Ports, Rail

Reuters reported that wet weather and flooding in Queensland have shut down some coal ports and the coal rail transport system, but mining operations in the area are not expected to be impacted.

As quoted in the market report:

Coal export loadings at the Dalrymple Bay terminal were shut on Thursday and Friday due to rough weather, but would likely resume early Saturday if weather conditions allowed, said Greg Smith, general manager of operations.
