Coal Demand Still Expected to Rise

The Bedford Report released research on the outlook for the coal industry, as well as reports on  Arch Coal, Inc. (NYSE:ACI) and Peabody Energy Corporation (NYSE:BTU).

As quoted in the press release:

The IEA report states that the increase in demand would be driven by growing power generation in emerging economies, especially China and India, and would place upward pressure on mining costs and coal prices.
