Buffalo Coal Stops Production at Magdalena Mine, South Africa

CoalGuru.com reported that Buffalo Coal Corporation (TSX:BUF) has stopped operations at its Magdalena underground mine in South Africa following an ingress of water into a section of the mine.

As quoted in the publication:

Buffalo’s emergency procedure was initiated and the mine has been evacuated safely.

Management is currently working to assess the extent and impact of the incident. The relevant government regulator, the South African Department of Mineral Resources, has been informed.

Buffalo CEO, Malcom Campbell, said:
