After the close of trading today, Hathor Exploration (TSXV:HAT) announced that it is spinning out its Eskay Properties into MAX Minerals Ltd and that MAX will also trade on the TSX Venture Exchange. The Eskay Properties are north of the high grade Eskay Creek gold-silver mine operated by Barrick Gold Corp. (TSX:ABX, NYSE:ABX). The Eskay Properties are believed to be highly prospective for gold and silver. The transaction and subsequent listing of MAX are both subject to exchange approval.
While not discussed in the release, the spin out should allow Hathor shareholders to realize full value for Hathor’s uranium and gold/silver assets.
