Happy Creek Minerals Identify New Targets at West Valley Property
Happy Creek Minerals Ltd.(TSXV:HPY) announced the identification of prospective targets on its West Valley property. The targets were revealed after a an airborne geophysical survey was conducted on the property.
As quoted in the press release:
The West Valley property is underlain in part by the younger phases of the Guichon Batholith which are important in the generation of Highland Valley-type copper deposits. The airborne survey shows numerous strong cross-cutting fault structures that provide opportunity for copper deposits to occur in several areas. The property also covers a portion of the Lornex fault, a key structure that cuts through the world class Valley and Lornex deposits and extends southward onto Happy Creeks’ property.
Happy Creek, President and CEO, David Blann, commented:
The West Valley property has historically received limited exploration and is mostly covered by glacial till. This airborne survey reveals a thorough picture of important under-lying geological features that you simply cannot see otherwise. We are pleased with these results as they validate potential of our known targets and provide several new ones that are within the right geology and close to Canada’s largest copper producer.
