Rockwell Diamonds Lower Profit, More Solid Footing

Mining Weekly reported Rockwell Diamonds (TSX:RDI) said on Friday the loss of $13.7-million for the 2012 financial year reflected the impact of the strategic decisions to solidly ground the company for the future.

As quoted in the market news:

This formed part of Rockwell’s corporate review and repositioning towards optimising its productive mines to deliver better returns. The main focus areas during the reporting period, which ended February 28, were improving the performance of the company’s Saxendrift mine, near the Middle Orange River, and ramping up production at its Tirisano mine, near the Vaal river.
