    Ritchies to Auction 30-carat Fancy Yellow Diamond Solitaire

    Ritchies Auctioneers announced that at the Prestige Auction, which will be held on June 22 in Toronto, it will auction off a 30-carat fancy yellow diamond solitaire. The stone will be largest colored diamond ever auctioned in Canada.

    Ritchies Auctioneers announced that at the Prestige Auction, which will be held on June 22 in Toronto, it will auction off a 30-carat fancy yellow diamond solitaire. The stone will be largest colored diamond ever auctioned in Canada.

    As quoted in the press release:

    Ritchies’s Previous Prestige Auctions saw important emeralds sell for over $650,000 and attracted international bidders from as far as China, Russia and India. Sunday`s auction is likely to set records based on the international interest

    Hon. Col. Kashif Khan, managing director at Ritchies, commented:

    As an Auctioneer, I am proud to be entrusted with a collection of such caliber. These types of pieces are usually reserved for markets like New York, London and Hong Kong. Rare heirlooms like these are usually found in the estates of the world wealthiest families.  It is not often that they come to be sold to the highest bidder.
