Minister clears air on Zimbabwe diamond sale approval

The Zimbabwe Guardian.com reports that Zimbabwe’s Deputy Minister of Mines and Minerals Development has confirmed that they had received permission from the Kimberly Process to sell diamonds.

In a telephone interview on Thursday with the Zimbabwe Guardian, Gift Chimanikire said his ministry was in receipt of a letter from the Kimberley Process authorising Zimbabwe to carry out two diamond sales auctions this year.
