Dubai sparkles as one of fastest growing diamond centres in world

AME info reports today that  Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE) announced record volumes for total diamond trades , reaching 131 million carats for the first half of 2010.

 The story is quoted as saying:

Ahmed bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman of DMCC, comments, “This significant achievement, despite the global economic challenges, is testimony to Dubai’s resilience, as it maintains its position as one of the top diamond trading centres in the world.
