Rapaport reported that at its New York Magnificent Jewels sale, Christie’s achieved sales of $46,675,125, higher than the presale estimate of $40 million. The top seven lots sold for more than $1 million each.

As quoted in the market news:

The sale offered three loose stones from gem collectors … with the top lot being an 8.77-carat, VVS1, rectangular‐cut fancy intense pink diamond ring that sold within estimate to Moussaieff Jewellers for $6,325,000. A 3.81-carat, VS1, fancy vivid blue, rectangular-cut diamond ring sold above its high presale estimate of $3.5 million and achieved $3,973,000. The third loose stone, a 5.13-carat, square-cut fancy vivid yellow diamond sold within estimate at $269,000.
