50 Mines to Produce 90 Percent of Rough Diamonds in 2014

In a report titled The State of Global Rough Diamond Supply 2014, Paul Zimnisky states that this year, 135 million carats of rough diamonds worth $17.8 billion will be mined. He also lists the 50 mines that will produce 90 percent of those diamonds, noting that the balance will come from private or small-scale operations.
