Spot uranium prices unchanged on light market activity

Platts.com reports on uranium spot price remains unchanged with less market activity last week.

The market news is quoted as saying:

With uranium market activity light over the past week, price publishers TradeTech and Ux Consulting kept their spot uranium price indicators unchanged in their most recent reports.

TradeTech on Friday kept its U3O8 spot price at $61.50 a pound U3O8, while Ux on Monday kept its spot price at $62.50/lb. Both TradeTech and Ux published abbreviated versions of their market reports because of the Christmas holiday.

Ux’s broker average price — a daily calculated midpoint of bids and offers reported by ICAP Energy, Evolution Markets and MF Global — was $62.23/lb on Monday, up from the $61.93/lb BAP December 20. The Platts NuclearFuel range for this week was $60/lb to $64/lb U3O8.
