    Iran Criticizes World Powers on Uranium Plant Closure Demand Plan

    Reuters reported that Iran, through its foreign ministry spokesperson, Ramin Mehmanparast, said the world powers’ plan to demand the closure of its uranium enrichment plant, Fordow, in exchange for the easing of sanctions on the country’s precious metals trade is unacceptable.

    Lately they have said ‘Shut down Fordow, stop (uranium) enrichment, we will allow gold transactions’,” Mehmanparast said, according to the Mehr news agency. “They want to take away the rights of a nation in exchange for allowing trade in gold.
