Fission Reports Assay Results for Step Out Holes at Triple R and Expands R780E Zone
Fission Uranium Corp. (TSX:FCU) announced assay results from 16 holes at the R780E zone at its PLS property in the Triple R deposit, which saw all the angled holes intersect mineralization.
Fission Uranium Corp. (TSX:FCU) announced assay results from 16 holes from the R780E zone at the Triple R deposit and reported that all 16 angled holes intersected mineralization. Step out holes PLS15-299, PLS15-325 and PLS15-303 not only hit large, particularly high-grade intercepts including 14.09 percent U3O8 over 3.5 meters in 1.91 percent U3O8 over 33.5 meters (PLS15-299), they also increased the R780E zone on multiple lines along strike laterally and vertically.
Highlights from the assay results include:
- Expands R780E Zone of Triple R Deposit along strike, laterally and at depth
- 16 out of 16 step-out holes intersected mineralization
- PLS15-299 (line 480E) key interval: 33.5 meters (60.5 m to 94 m) at 1.91 percent U3O8, including 3.5 meters (67.5m to 71.0m) at 14.09 percent U3O8
- PLS15-325 (line 720E) key interval: 6 meters (215.0m to 221.0m) at 8.14 percent U3O8, including 2 meters (217.0m to 219.0m) at 21.18 percent U3O8
- PLS15-303 (line 465E) key interval: 13.5 meters (56.5m to 70.0m) at 3.13 percent U3O8, including 5 meters (60.0m to 65.0m) at 8.14 percent U3O8
Ross McElroy, president, COO and chief geologist of Fission, commented:
These results show just how robust the continued growth of the Triple R Deposit’s R780E zone is, with a substantially increased footprint, strong grades and shallow depth to mineralization. We’re very pleased with progress and are looking forward to the next batch of assays from our highly successful winter program.
