Reuters Africa reports PetroChina (NYSE:PTR) announced 5 percent growth in crude production in the first half of the year from a year earlier.

The press release is quoted as saying:

The $10.8 billion project at Ras Al Khair on the country’s east coast is a joint venture with the Saudi Arabian Mining Co., known as Ma’aden.
