Oil prices rise as new data boost hope for economy

The Associated Press reports that on Wednesday, the government issued a batch of reports that suggest the U.S. economy is improving, and along with it demand for oil.

The market news is quoted as saying:

Drivers got a tiny break in pump prices, but they’ll still be paying more on Thanksgiving than they have since gas cost an average of $3.09 in November 2007.
