    CBS News reported that Noble Energy (NYSE:NBL) has announced $296 million loss in its fourth quarter due to the price drop in natural gas.

    CBS News reported that Noble Energy (NYSE:NBL) has announced $296 million loss in its fourth quarter due to the price drop in natural gas.

    As quoted in the market news:

    Noble’s loss amounted to $1.67 per share. Excluding the impairment charge, and an unrealized loss on derivative contracts, the company earned $1.18 per share in the latest quarter. That topped analyst estimates of $1.13 per share, according to FactSet, and the company’s stock rose 42 cents to $104.78 in midday trading.
