The Wall Street Journal reported that natural gas climbed about 2 percent higher even though it declined for three straight days last week and has been plagued by reports that cooler weather is coming.

As quoted in the market news:

Natural gas for October delivery was trading 5.2 cents, or about 2%, higher to $2.734 per million British thermal units on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Analysts characterized Monday’s rally as spurred by lower prices after natural gas futures declined for the last three sessions.
