Murphy Oil: 2012 Q1 Net Income Surged 7.9 Percent

CBS News reported that Murphy Oil Corp. (NYSE:MUR) 2012 first quarter net income surged 7.9 percent.

As quoted in the market news:

The oil and gas producer’s quarterly net income rose to $290.1 million, or $1.49 per share, from $268.9 million, or $1.22 per share.
