The order against tungsten prospecting in the Western Cape has been reiterated. The Cape High Court has issued an order confirming the interim interdict it granted in April, which bars prospecting for tungsten on two farms located 50 km north-west of Piketheng, in the Western Cape. As reported on page 23 of this edition of Mining Weekly, the interdict application was brought by the Bergrivier local municipality and supported by communities.
