Independence Day of Myanmar

Manila Bulletin.com reports that Myanmar is recognizing its’ day of Independence by concentrating on trade agreements with the Philippines- particularly with its’ natural resources.

The story is quoted as saying:

Mineral deposits include lead, zinc, tin, tungsten, coal, iron ore, natural gas, and petroleum, as well as precious stones such as rubies and lapis lazuli. The present government is opening up its economy and has intensified its economic cooperation with its ASEAN neighbors, as well as with China and Japan
