GAM Deal to Buy US Company

Donnybrook-Bridgetown Mail reports Global Advanced Metals is buying Cabot Corp’s (NYSE:CBT) Supermetals business.

The market news is quoted as saying,

GAM is a global leader in tantalum concentrate (tantalum pentoxide) production. Its operations at its Wodgina, near Port Hedland, and Greenbushes plant contain the world’s largest known resources of tantalum ore.

However the deal will have no immediate implications for Greenbushes processing plant, a company spokesman said at the weekend.
