    Sydney Morning Herald reported that shares of Lynas Corp. (ASX:LYC) fell after the company failed to receive a permit to import rare earths for processing in Malaysia.

    As quoted in the market news:

    Shares in Lynas plunged 19¢, or 16 per cent, in the space of 10 minutes in the afternoon after investors were spooked by a Malaysian government announcement that Lynas “had not been given any permission to import ores into the country”.
