Environmental Checks Stir Chinese Rare Earth Industry

EcoSeed reported that China is stepping up checks on rare earth miners to ensure they are following higher environmental standards.

Lin Pinguang, the deputy secretary-general of Jiangxi Rare Earth Industry Association, warned that enterprises that fail to pass the final checks may be taken over by qualified companies – a consequence made to encourage companies to meet the qualification standards.
