Chinese Environmental Laws to Drive up Rare-earth Prices and Paper

The Mining Weekly reports that environmental laws will have an impact on rare earth mining in China.

The news item is quoted as saying:

China Daily quoted vice-minister of environmental protection Wu Xiaoqing as saying the industry would have to spend $228-million at current production rates to build water treatment plants.
