Chinese Unwrought Magnesium Exports See January Rise of 59.2 Percent

Platts reported that according to China’s General Administration of Customs, in January, the country’s exports of unwrought magnesium with a minimum magnesium content of 99.8 percent increased 59.2 percent from the previous year.

As quoted in the market news:

China’s top 10 export destinations for unwrought magnesium in January were the Netherlands (8,058 mt), Japan (2,201 mt), Canada (1,951 mt), India (1,058 mt), South Korea (889 mt), United Arab Emirates (744 mt), Greece (724 mt), Egypt (700 mt), Germany (695 mt) and Norway (551 mt).

The combined exports to these 10 destinations totaled 17,572 mt, representing 80.9% of China’s total unwrought magnesium exports in the month.
