Efficiency of Solar Energy Hinges on Battery Storage: Scientists

The Sydney Morning Herald reported that scientists believe the key to making solar energy more effective may lie in the battery storage that keep lights running at night.

As quoted in the market report:

Finding a way to cut the cost of storage – whether in the form of hydropower reservoirs, nickel metal hydride batteries used in electric vehicles, or frontier technologies using vanadium or zinc bromine batteries – is one of the hottest issues in energy.
