Zambia Needs Financial Support for Manganese Mining

Zambia Daily Mail reported that Minister Rodgers Mwewa said Zambia’s manganese sector needs a financial boost for the country to reap the benefits of mining.

He said small-scale miners can only increase production once they are empowered. The minister said manganese is being sold and transported to the Copperbelt and Central provinces in its raw form. He also appealed to investors to consider setting up a manganese processing plant.
