Zamanco Minerals to Build $60-million Manganese Plant

Mining Weekly reported that Australian Zamanco Minerals intends to build a $60-million manganese processing plant in Zambia, with production slated for 2014.

As quoted in the market report:

Zamanco MD Jacques Badenhorst said the smelter would have a capacity of 56 250 t of medium carbon ferromanganese and 9 600 t of silicon-manganese per year.
