China’s Silicomanganese Production Slips

Metal Bulletin reported that in April, China’s production of silicomanganese dropped as falling prices for the metal forced producers to cut their operating rates.

As quoted in the market news:

‘Steel mills cut their purchase prices of silico-manganese month-by-month in the first quarter, resulting in a decline in market prices of the product,’ a Beijing analyst said.
